I hate that living in Alabama means that anytime you want to wear houndstooth you're instantly associated with Bama the university. #notide Ick. It's not going to keep me from wearing this skirt every now and then, as this is one of my favorite pieces in my closet and I think maybe the very first purchase I made from Ruche back in the day? Maybe? We've been together for over four years at this point, so excuse me if I forget the details of our union.
Anyway, I liked the combo of this top with this skirt. It adequately sums up the weird period of weather we're currently experiencing - a little bit of winter, a little bit of spring-slash-summer [since Alabama doesn't really do those transitional seasons well]. And that lovely coral color definitely added a nice slice of sunshine to an otherwise grey day.
