You know, I was originally super excited today because I thought I had stumbled across the secret to taking outfit photos in peace - go to the park at noon on a scorching hot weekday. There were hardly any cars in the parking lot! There weren't any kids running around! No one was skulking randomly behind a tree! It felt like such a success...until, of course, I had everything all set up and ready to go. Then, of course, that random guy had to come play fetch with his dog and of course that couple had to park it on a picnic table nearby with large greasy bags of Chick-fil-a. I was about ready to scream and pull my hair out and stomp off in frustration, but I made myself go through with snapping a few more rounds of photos even with three sets of strange eyes watching me.

I've been feeling "inspired", I guess you could say, to dust off my 50mm lens lately for photos. My 35mm basically lives on my camera because it's so versatile, and as a result I tend to forget how much I love my other lenses. It's good to remind myself that other focal lengths still exist every so often, haha.
Anyway. Happy Friday! My clinic is only open half-days on Fridays so I went a bit more free-spirited with my shoes today; I've been living in my Theas all week, so it was to change things up. These jelly flats definitely wouldn't work with the dress code at the hospitals, but my preceptor is pretty casual about dress code stuff [he made the third year we worked with last summer quit wearing ties] so it's a non-issue for the next few weeks. I bought these flats before going on vacation this summer because they seemed like they'd be good traipsing-around-Spain shoes, and they definitely served that purpose well. Not so great for wearing at the beach, as the hot sand can easily get through the holes and make your feet uncomfortable, but I've had no problems walking around all day.
