You know the boring thing about dresses? There's not always a lot you can do in terms of variety with the way you dress things up or down. Especially when it comes to sundresses, which are basically my bread and butter living in Alabama. It's too warm for my normal preferred accoutrements - knee socks and tights and boots and pretty coats and what have you - so instead I'm left tying a tee over a sundress and calling it a day.

I am actually quite pleased with this outfit, in all honesty. I like the kind of high-waisted skirt vibe this dress gives off in this way. I almost paired my pink loafers from Target with this outfit, but ultimately decided to go a bit simpler with my favorite flats [which are sadly sold out on Banana Republic's website, but I'm holding out hope they'll come back because I would love to buy another pair in black]. But anyway. Navy blue and stripes forever.
