My parents ask my brother and I to provide them with wishlists for the major gift-giving occasions every year [birthdays and Christmas], and it's easy enough to comply.  Start with a few CDs from artists I love, add a handful of books I won't have time to read, throw in a household item or two, and mix with something frivolous and fun.  Boom.  There's a list of gift ideas suited to please a Kaity.

This wishlist, however, doesn't meet those criteria.  This wishlist is composed entirely of ridiculous, expensive, out of reach items that I dream of owning in my not-completely-broke hypothetical life.  I'm always up for a little sparkle, and that dress from J.Crew and that watch from Kate Spade both scream "special occasion" to me.  I've been quietly and only semi-seriously in search of some new riding boots lately, as most of my boots are dying a slow, affordable death; in reality I could use a new black pair, but I can't help but love the gorgeous rich cognac-y color of the many designer options out there.  And most of all, I'm dying for a Sigma Art lens.  I have no complaints with my current photography tool kit, but the image quality produced by both the 35mm and the 50mm is dreamy beyond dreamy.  And that bokeh!  Some day, when I hopefully get to actually earn money, I'm bringing one of those bad boys home with me.
