comfortable work shoe recommendations?

Question for those of you in the know - what kind of shoes do you like for long-ish days on your feet?  I'm about five months out from starting actual hospital work [see you soon, third year!], and I'm starting to slowly wrap my mind around the various ways I'll need to adjust and improve my current wardrobe.  Starting with shoes, obviously, because I'm nothing if not a gal who loves shoes a smidge bit too much.  Most of our time is going to be spent in clinic, calling for professional shoes that don't look sloppy but also don't kill your feet.  I know Danskos are the most well-known choice for healthcare workers of all sorts, with various styles of Crocs also seeming to rank pretty popular.  Sneakers/tennis shoes/whatever you call them are often paired with scrubs, as the occasions for which we wear scrubs are usually when you want shoes you don't care about messing up.

Our third- and fourth-year dress code doesn't have much in the way of restrictions regarding footwear.  Athletic shoes or medical clogs are to be worn with scrubs, but beyond that it's pretty open.  I love the idea of getting a couple of pairs of clogs or something in a slightly different color, as our student scrubs are grey and thus kind of boring.  I'm working on saving my way up to a pair of Danskos; they offer a pretty good variety of prints and colors for their classic clogs, and the shape can work for both clinic and scrubs.  I think I might also like to track down a new pair of athletic shoes specifically for work use [so I can keep the fancy pair I bought last year separate for exercise purposes]; apparently I'm a terrible underpronator, so I might try going back to the shoe guy recommended to me by my orthopedist to get fitted for something that will suit my sad ankles and knees.

Anyway - any suggestions out there?  I'd love to hear what works for you!
