The world is not a good place to be right now.
There seems to be some sort of trend on the internet nowadays wherein not commenting on public events will get you lambasted by the unruly masses. I could rant for a very long time on how ridiculous I find that reaction to be, buuuuuut now isn't exactly the time for an angry essay. Suffice it to say, the internet is a ridiculous place. Let's all just be nice to each other for a while, okay?
I went ahead and put together one of these link roundup posts, as was my plan this week, because we don't all constantly need to be concentrated on tragedy and heartbreak and violence. Sometimes you just want to have a normal day.
