I'm spending a couple of days working in outpatient clinic this week after five weeks of being in the hospital and wearing scrubs everyday, and I'm super pumped to get to wear regular clothes again.  I've said it before and I'll say it again - scrubs are overrated.  They're not THAT ridiculously comfy and, especially when your medical school makes you buy the cheap and crappy style, they don't fit well.  It's not like wearing pajamas to work and I really don't know why people keep saying that.  Harrumph.

Soooooo anyway.  I took these photos in a church parking lot on my way home yesterday.  Super fascinating location, can you tell?  I'm getting increasingly frustrated and honestly disenchanted with the outfit posts thing.  It's something I enjoy sharing, but the struggle is real when it comes to managing to snap a few pictures.  I do everything by myself - no poor boyfriend guilted into supporting my slightly weird hobbies - and, in a lot of ways, it's like Mobile just is not on my side when it comes to that endeavor.  I've lived here for two years now and I still haven't managed to establish any sort of rotating list of good locations that are conducive to me spending quality time with my tripod without being interrupted - and the not being interrupted part is key, because it's already awkward taking pictures of yourself without an audience.  Even when I've tried hitting up remote empty parts of campus at off-times of day, there are frisbee golfers crashing through the woods nearby.  There are cars driving through a random church parking lot in the middle of the afternoon on a wintery Friday.  Admittedly I can find some solace on my balcony, but that gets real old real fast for both you and me; a lot of the appeal in continuing to do this lies, for me, in the photography aspect of it.  I'm not much of a people photographer - I much prefer inanimate things that don't need to be directed - but working with myself as the model is a nice exercise of sorts in figuring out how to use human beings in pictures.  And then there's this weird internet world of fashion bloggers who are increasingly getting on my nerves with their obvious money grubbing and their pretentious vocabulary for everything [especially using 'style' as a verb...good grief]...I'm just short on patience for this kind of stuff lately, I guess.  I don't know.  Do you ever just get tired of the internet being the way it is?

[As a side note - thredUP recently gave me some credit to do some shopping with them; they're another secondhand clothing sale site that seems to fly a bit lower under the radar than someplace like Poshmark.  I'm probably still a bigger fan of Poshmark just because of the massive size of its offerings, but I love that thredUP runs actual sales and promotions [because saving money is always a beautiful thing].  I mean, thanks to a 40% off coupon they were running at the time, I was able to snag this pair of pants and and a top - both from J.Crew, both new with tags - for less than $30.  Amazing.  Anyway, if you're interested in taking a look around thredUP, please sign up for an account with my referral link so we can both make $10, mkay? :) ]

Also, these Minnie pants are definitely bigger than my other pair despite being the EXACT SAME SIZE.  Gotta love that wonderfully consistent J.Crew sizing, right?  Eye roll.
